I love this one!

Man, what a week.

My bike broke, then my car broke down. I keep accidentally stabbing myself with my kitchen knife. My hand's so busted I can't go to yoga. I'm bumming a ride to the next job I have to work today since my car won't be ready until Monday, oh, and it's going to cost over $700 to fix. Scratch that, just got a text, my ride is tied up. So looks like I'm taking the afternoon off!

I'm looking forward to a glass of wine and some better luck!

On a more positive note, I've been watching videos posted by this girl:

She's intelligent and has a reasonable, positive, and healthy view of Entheogens. I love it. It's rare that I come across someone who is able to look past social stigmas and base their opinions on science.

D.I. Myself

I love these Leggings!

Posted by the awesome and adorable Tavi from Style Rookie. So I decided to check out the Romance is Born Site to see if I could afford them.

Two surprises:

1) They didn't have the tights on the site. Oh Well.

2) I found this pair of leggings and decided to check the price to know what range their products are in.

What do they cost, you ask?

$401.00 ASD!!!!
Which is $396.83 USD!

So, that's it. I'm going to make my own pair.
Similar to the ones I want.
So I made this design

I've never made a pair of tights, shit, the only piece of clothing I've made was a coat a couple years ago. It took me about two days and actually looked pretty good.

Wish me Luck!

I made my tights, but right now they are way too tight to wear comfortably. So, my plan is to cut them down the back of each leg and add in a strip of different fabric down the back. We'll see...

This print would be great for lining a purse, jacket or the back of a piece of furniture. It also reminds me of honeycomb.

This video is hypnotizing.

Watching this Fat guy dancing video reminds me of when I was a "big" girl. I wasn't obese, but I was fat, plump, round, jolly. And, although I'm a happier person now, at a much smaller size, there are things that I miss about being fat:
(Disclaimer, these are thoughts about my own personal fat experience. I know there are others out there that had similar experiences and those who haven't, these are MINE.)

1. Doughnuts, especially those little ones coated in chocolate.

2. Being invisible. Although this was annoying to me at the time, it made getting through the day so much easier!

3. Thai Iced Tea

4. Being nice to men. This was awesome, I could be as friendly as can be and they would never hit on me. Never. Now, just making eye contact is bad news, forget about being nice :( (I keep having to learn this lesson over and over, who wants to live their life as a bitch? And, why do guys read way too much into simple kindness?)

5. Not spending money on clothes. I was too big for the clothes I liked so I wore the same two outfits everyday. My bank account loved this.

Moving on...

This Sunday, 7pm, Presidio Motel! Check it!
